Welcome to the wonderland of History!

I've taken Early World History and World History.

These classes shared a lot of similarities. So I’ll just be combining my advice and resources for these 2 classes.

  • Majority of the tests had a lot of cause-and-effect questions. Like for example, what caused WW2 and what were the specific effects of WW2?
  • And on the PowerPoint presentations, my teachers would highlight the specific things we needed to know for the tests so it was really easy. You don’t necessarily have to know the EXACT date an event happened unless the teacher wants you to know it!
  • Know the order of events; it can really help you fully understand the topic.
  • We had a Current Event project, which is where you (or with a partner) make a presentation about a current international event and connect it to a current topic you’re learning in class.
  • Most common current event topics are wars, civil disputes, new laws, new bans, etc.

Resources

  • Quizlet: I’d search up the section I was studying and use the quizlet set for checking my answers + adding more information.
